The Blazer EV Offers Top Performance and Style

Larger than the Equinox EV, the Blazer EV is a midsize SUV that offers maximum performance. With an EPA-estimated range of 324 miles, the Blazer EV can really go the distance. One Pedal Driving and Regen on Demand provides the best range for longer drives.

Inside the Blazer EV, drivers will find a standard 11-inch diagonal driver information screen, a 17.7-inch diagonal display screen, and wireless charging. Google built-in compatibility makes it easy to access apps directly from the center display.

Every Blazer EV comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist, so drivers can have the peace of mind of knowing their families will be protected. From automatic e-braking to lane keep assist, the suite of driver assistance features makes piloting this EV a breeze.

The Silverado EV Gets the Job Done Right

The Silverado EV is one of the most impressive EV pickups on the market. With a GM-estimated range of up to 460 miles and up to 12,500 lbs of max available towing, it’s more than capable of putting in a good day’s work.

Drivers looking for impressive power can enable Wide Open Watts to harness up to 760 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque. Those more interested in maneuverability often cite Sidewinder as their favorite feature of the Silverado EV, as it enables the truck to move diagonally at low speeds.
The Silverado EV is more than just an impressive EV pickup truck. Drivers who invest in a GM Energy PowerShot Charger and Vehicle-to-Home Enablement Kit can also use their trucks to power their homes during blackouts for up to 21 days of reduced energy use.

Find the Best EV for Your Lifestyle

With three excellent options for electric vehicles, drivers have no trouble finding what they need at the Chevy dealer. The Equinox EV and Blazer EV are excellent family SUVs, while the Silverado EV is one of America’s most impressive electric trucks. There’s something for everyone in Chevrolet’s electric vehicle lineup.

It’s difficult to know just when to bite the bullet and buy a new car, especially if you’re thinking about an EV. But with so much going on in the world and the economy, now is as good a time as ever. But which EV is the one for you? All the manufacturers have them, from Ford to, Chevy, to Kia, and Hyundai. We’ll break down some of your options, so you have an idea of where to start.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E – Ready for Fun

Ford drivers have a great option for an EV. The Mustang Mach-E is great in any form, but the Premium or the GT will take your driving to new heights. The Mach-E offers the perfect blend of power and style, but get behind the wheel of the GT, and you’ll experience up to 480 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque from the two electric motors.
Inside, a 15.5-inch touchscreen puts all your infotainment at your fingertips and a large panoramic glass roof lets in lots of natural light.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 – Well Rounded Performance

The latest Ioniq 5 has the comfortable cabin you want for an everyday driver, impressive range to help alleviate any range anxiety, and it’s got the power you want. There’s something for everyone when it comes to powertrains. A single motor setup is perfect for commuting, but if you like swift acceleration the dual-motor setup with all-wheel drive makes passing other vehicles more fun and effortless.

Kia Sportage PHEV X-Line – A Combination of Style and Substance

The Kia Sportage PHEV X-Line is the plug-in hybrid for drivers who need some versatility in their vehicle but want to look good driving it. Power comes from an electric motor and a gas engine, giving you the best of both worlds. Drive up to 35 miles on pure electric power before the gas engine needs to kick in. All-wheel drive comes standard, so you always have plenty of traction.
Inside, everyone has a comfortable place to sit, and the X-Line has dual-zone automatic climate control, navigation, wireless charging, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for syncing your phone.

Chevy Blazer EV – Sharp Looks and Power to Back them Up

The Chevrolet Blazer EV has a lot to offer. It’s a sleek-looking little SUV with options galore. You can get this EV with rear-wheel drive, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Power comes from one or two electric motors, and horsepower ranges from 225 to 615 if you want to splurge on the top-level SS. This Blazer EV comes standard with all-wheel drive and uses regenerative braking.
The RS with its dual motor will zip to 60 mph in just six seconds, but if range is your priority, take a look at the rear-wheel drive version. It can go up to 334 miles before you need to stop and charge the battery.
Is it your time to buy an electric vehicle? Now just may be the best time to get one.

Tesla is no longer the only EV company on the block. However, it’s not just the automakers we all know taking Tesla on, but also exciting startups like Rivian. Based in California, Rivian is now competing for a market share in electrified vehicles. Let’s take a look at how these two EV makers compare.

Tesla’s Story

Tesla began the EV market as we know it today and the company remains the strongest seller of EV models in the world. From China, BYD is close, but nothing in the United States compares. The Tesla Model Y is currently the world’s best-selling vehicle. Alongside the compact SUV, the Model 3 sedan is the second most popular. Higher-end models include the Model S sedan and the Model X SUV. Most recently, the Cybertruck has captured the imaginations of EV buyers.

Rivian’s Story

Several EV startups have tried to take on Tesla and gain success, but only a few have managed to produce a large number of vehicles and get them to customers. Rivian is one of those. The California company began in 2009 and in 2021 it launched its first vehicle, the Rivian R1T pickup truck. It was the first electric pickup of the modern EV era. Rivian followed that with the R1S, a big SUV based on the same platform. Rivian also makes a delivery van for Amazon, one of its original investment backers.

Comparing Rivian and Tesla Vehicles

Tesla’s trademark is mostly medium-sized sedans and SUVs, while Rivian is going after buyers who want larger vehicles with off-road ability. Rivian’s brand description embraces the outdoors. Both Tesla and Rivian vehicles are packed with cutting-edge and thoughtful features.

For example, the R1T has a nifty gear tunnel where you can stash items between the cab and bed. The Rivian truck and SUV have a choice of four motors, an adjustable height suspension, and multiple drive modes for taking on rough terrain.

On the other hand, Tesla’s vehicles are strongly geared toward urban and suburban driving. They’re designed to deliver on-road performance, and that’s especially true if you look at a sporty model like the Model S Plaid. There is some overlap between the two brands, including modern technology and design simplicity.

Both Rivian and Tesla have done away with physical buttons, which is cool on one front, but frustrating when you need to use the touchscreen simply to change the air vent direction.

Buying a Tesla or Rivian

One perk of buying either a Tesla or a Rivian is that you can order easily online. Both companies reject the traditional dealership model and instead sell their models directly to customers via their websites. This easy ordering method makes both companies feel distinctly modern and it may even represent the future of the auto industry.

Which Should You Choose?

It’s difficult to say that one brand is heads and tails better than the other as they both appeal to different consumers. If a truck or a large SUV with impressive off-road chops is your preference, then Rivian beats Tesla easily. However, Rivian doesn’t have an answer for Tesla’s sportier offerings either. So, it largely depends on what you want.

Should you go to a Hyundai dealer or a Kia dealer when picking out a new EV? Both Hyundai and Kia have strong lineups, including such models as the Kia EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The Ioniq line has made waves lately with a sporty model lineup and good reviews. But Kia’s EV lineup isn’t far behind. Let’s take a look.

Kia’s EV Lineup

The current Kia EV lineup consists of the EV9, the EV6, and the Niro EV. The Kia EV9 is a midsize SUV with an estimated range of 304 miles, while the EV6 is a compact crossover with an estimated range of 310 miles. Finally, the Niro EV is a compact hatchback with an estimated range of 253 miles.

Kia also has a lineup of hybrid models, including the Sorento Hybrid, the Sportage Plug-in Hybrid, the Carnival MPV Hybrid, the Sorento Plug-in Hybrid, and the Sportage Hybrid. If you’re not ready to make the jump to a full EV, the hybrids provide an additional choice.

In terms of prices, the EV9 starts at $54,900, making it the largest and most expensive EV in the lineup. Next is the EV6 with a starting price of $42,600, and the most affordable EV is the Niro EV with a starting price of $39,600.

Hyundai’s EV Lineup

Hyundai’s current EV lineup consists of the high-performance Ioniq 5 N SUV, the Ioniq 6 electric sedan, the Ioniq 5 electric SUV, and the Kona Electric small SUV. Like Kia, Hyundai also offers several of its models in hybrid form, including the Tucson, Santa Fe, Sonata, and Elantra.

With a starting price of $66,100, the Ioniq 5 N performance SUV is Hyundai’s highest-priced EV. However, it boasts 641 horsepower and a long list of track-ready features. The Ioniq 6 electric sedan starts at a more affordable $37,750 and boasts up to 342 miles of range. The regular Ioniq 5 starts at $41,800 and gets up to 303 miles of range. Finally, there’s the affordable Kona Electric with 261 miles of range and a starting price of $32,875.

Comparing Kia and Hyundai’s EV Lineups

Starting with the two most affordable models, the Hyundai Kona Electric and the Kia Niro EV, the Hyundai model has a lower starting price and it has a higher estimated range of 261 miles vs the Kia’s 253 miles. For a small base model, Hyundai has a more efficient option.

In the middle of the lineup is the Kia EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5. These are both compact crossovers. Again, the Kia model has a higher starting price by roughly $1,000, but it has a slightly longer range than the Hyundai model at 310 miles vs 303.

The Kia lineup features a midsize SUV that Hyundai doesn’t have, offering a respectable range at 304 miles. On the other hand, the Hyundai lineup has an electric sedan in the Hyundai Ioniq 6, not to mention a performance model with the Ioniq 5 N.

As long you don’t need a larger vehicle like the Kia EV9, your Hyundai dealer likely has the stronger EV lineup compared to Kia.

Lots of Excitement for Hyundai’s EV Lineup

Whether drivers are looking for a Hyundai IONIQ plug-in hybrid or a new three-row EV SUV, there are some serious changes to look out for in 2025.

The Hyundai IONIQ 6 remains essentially unchanged for the 2025 model year, gaining only a head-up display on the Limited trim, but there are more exciting developments for the line.

While it’s true that many drivers have missed the Hyundai IONIQ plug-in hybrid since its phase-out, just as many are pleased to welcome the IONIQ 9.

Major Changes for the IONIQ 5

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 gets some meaningful changes for the 2025 model year. The larger of the two IONIQ 5 battery packs gets an expanded capacity for 2025, growing from 77.4 kWh to 84.0 kWh and gaining extra miles of range. The IONIQ 5 also receives a new NACS charging port.

Aesthetically, the exterior of the IONIQ 5 gets some minor tweaks, including a larger rear spoiler, updated bumper styling, and a rear windshield wiper. The overall effect is to improve visibility.

In the cabin, the wireless smartphone charging pad in the center console has been relocated to the top panel, new buttons provide quicker access to features like heated seats and steering wheel, and the infotainment system has been upgraded.

The 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 also gets several new driver-assistance features. Expect a more advanced lane-keep assist and side-impact collision avoidance to join a roster already packed with active safety features.

Finally, the lineup also gets an XRT trim for 2025 that features a higher ride height, AT tires, and more off-road-ready bumpers.

The All-New Hyundai IONIQ 9

The Hyundai IONIQ 9 will not launch until the end of 2024, but it already has some drivers excited. Based on the concept IONIQ 7 developed in 2021, the electric-only SUV is built on the same platform as the IONIQ 5, but it will be more similar in size to the three-row Palisade.

The 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 9 has a target range of over 300 miles. Those in the know expect the IONIQ 9’s battery to charge from 10% to 80% in around 20 minutes when hooked to a 350 kW fast charger.

Although initial production of the IONIQ 9 is occurring in South Korea, the automaker plans to switch US production to its plant in Ellabell, Georgia, where it will soon begin manufacturing the IONIQ 5 models for US sales.

What About the Hyundai IONIQ Plug-In Hybrid?

Not everyone is ready to switch over entirely to a 100% electric vehicle. The infrastructure isn’t available everywhere, and not all drivers have a place to install a Level 2 charger at home. The new IONIQ lineup isn’t for them.

Unfortunately, there are no signs of Hyundai returning to manufacturing the Hyundai IONIQ plug-in hybrid. The best way for buyers to get their hands on a Hyundai IONIQ plug-in hybrid is to head to the dealership to look at used models.

The IONIQ 5 N is an impressive, high-performance EV. Find out what to expect before heading to the Hyundai dealer to take one for a test drive.

Introducing the IONIQ 5 N

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 is already an impressive vehicle. Now, drivers can also find a high-performance version of their favorite electric SUV at the Hyundai dealer. The IONIQ 5 N combines the best of the Hyundai N line with its EV tech to great effect.

Get Ready to Hit the Track

The AWD IONIQ 5 N features a dual-motor configuration that puts out 601 hp under regular use. Though that’s already an impressive feat, drivers who want an edge on the track can also use the N Grin Boost feature to temporarily bump power production up to 641 hp.

Because the IONIQ 5 N features an AWD system, drivers can choose to distribute power to the front or rear wheels using four different drive modes. They can also switch the IONIQ 5 N from Endurance to Sprint mode to unlock its full power potential.

The IONIQ 5 N hits 60 in three seconds and can complete a quarter-mile run in just over 11 seconds. It tracks straight during all-out launches and features controllable handling when needed. However, drivers can also switch to drift mode when they want to have a little fun.

Hyundai also caters to the needs of performance drivers with N e-Shift. The feature can be turned on and off, simulating a dual-clutch transmission by elevating feedback with rev-matching. N Active Sound+ also simulates engine noise.

Range, Charging, and Other Real-World Concerns

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 N features an 84 kWh battery pack that charges at speeds of up to 238 kW. With an EPA-estimated range of 221 miles of mixed driving, it doesn’t perform quite as well as the regular IONIQ 5 in this realm but holds up admirably as a high-performance EV.

Drivers familiar with the IONIQ 5 will find the 5 N’s cabin quite familiar. However, Hyundai has added a few extras to improve the driving experience. They include unique steering wheel features to access drive modes, regenerative braking, and N Grin Boost.

The IONIQ 5 N features the same infotainment system as the IONIQ 5, with separate 12-inch touchscreens for infotainment and a digital gauge cluster. Drivers will still get access to standard smartphone integration and voice-recognition software.

Enjoy a Wealth of Standard and Available Features

The IONIQ 5 N features track-ready tuning and more athletic hardware than the IONIQ 5, including a larger rear diffuser, wheels, brakes, and fenders. Inside the cabin, aggressively bolstered front seats make high-speed cornering a breeze.

Many active safety and driver-assistance features also come standard on the IONIQ 5 N, including automated e-braking, lane-keep assist, and more. Extras like adaptive cruise control with lane-centering are still add-on features for the 5 N.

Head to a Hyundai Dealer to See the IONIQ 5 N

Interested in learning more about the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N high-performance EV? The best way to get a feel for this impressive sports vehicle and what it has to offer is to head to the Hyundai dealer.

The more we get used to having electric vehicles, the more we need to learn about them. With that in mind, let’s discuss driving an EV in the mountains.

Your gas-powered vehicle loses power and acceleration while driving in the mountains. This is caused by the extra work a vehicle has to do to drive uphill but also because the air is thinner, and most gas and diesel-powered vehicles are made to perform ideally at sea level. EVs tend to maintain power better in the mountains because they don’t require air to operate the electric motors, but are you losing driving range when going up a mountain?

How well do EVs handle climbing a mountain?

It only makes sense that when a machine is working to go up a mountain road, it takes more energy to complete this task than driving on flat ground. EVs don’t lose power like combustion vehicles because the thinner air doesn’t affect them, but they will lose driving range more rapidly while climbing a mountain than when driving on level ground.
Because your EV will lose some driving range when going up mountains, you need to plan for some range loss when driving these roads. It is smart to know where the nearest electric charging stations are located to plan stops along the way.

Can you regain driving range on the way down?

Driving down a sloped mountain road means you’ll use the engine to handle much of your braking. Electric vehicles not only use engine braking but capture some of that energy by utilizing the regenerative braking system. This energy is sent to the batteries and can add more miles to your driving range.

In a recent test by the team at The Fast Lane, the team learned that EVs regain much of the energy lost from the incline during the decline portion of a mountain drive. They did this test by going up on one side and back down, going in the opposite direction. If you test this out during your mountain drive and continue to go forward toward your destination, there might be some variances in slope, which means you might not recapture as much energy on the way down as you lost on the way up.

What factors impact an electric vehicle’s driving range?

Colder temperatures

Driving on mountain roads that rise high above sea level means you might face some challenges while behind the wheel. Other than the incline and decline of the mountain grades, the air temperature is often colder when you reach high altitudes. This colder temperature could mean driving range loss for an EV, even if all you do is park it for a little while.

Driving style

While not as much an environmental issue as a user problem, your driving style and driving conditions can significantly impact your driving range. When you drive at high speeds or aggressively, you will quickly notice a decrease in your driving range due to the increased energy consumption. Don’t allow other drivers to force you to drive faster or more aggressively than you would normally.

Vehicle makeup

Each electric vehicle has a quoted driving range, and that figure is based on several factors. This number is calculated using battery capacity, vehicle weight, electric motor power, and aerodynamics. Most modern EVs have a 70% useful rate for the maximum driving range.

Charging habits

What are your charging habits? If you typically charge at home and push the battery capacity to 100% of its charge, your battery lie will be reduced. The same can be said if you use fast charging stations almost exclusively. If you choose to charge at home, set a limit for the charge you want on the battery. Stopping below 100% battery charge can extend your battery’s life. The only time you should charge to 100% capacity is when you head out on a road trip and will need to charge several times along the way.

How can you maximize your driving range?

You probably never thought about the driving range of your vehicle until you bought an EV. Electric vehicles come with this concern because you can’t find a charging station on every corner. If you want to maximize your driving range, you should:

  • Employ efficient driving habits
  • Plan your route
  • Avoid poorly maintained roads
  • Minimize using climate system in your EV
  • Maintain your tires

For the most part, the driving range lost in an electric vehicle while going up a mountain road will be regained on the other side while coming down. This is good to know, but if you drive an EV, you’ve got to keep an eye on that driving range and know where charging stations are located along your route.

The 2025 Acura ZDX features a strong GM chassis and rides on the Ultium platform, but its interior is surprisingly staid for an Acura model.

On the outside, however, the Acura ZDX is arguably one of the most handsome Acura vehicles ever.

GM Bones Meets Acura Style

It’s not a secret that the 2025 Acura ZDX uses the GM Ultium platform, features an interior built with GM parts, and is even on the GM production line in Tennessee. The most GM part about the ZDX is how it provides a ton more features than its rivals, but its interior is pretty boring. Not far from the description of many Cadillac models.

The other thing about the ZDX is that its main rival is, in fact, the Cadillac Lyriq. The Lyriq offers a similar price tag, features, and EV specs, but oddly, its interior isn’t at all boring. The two models share the same platform and basically the same motor choices. It’s difficult not to compare the two for this reason.

Why choose the ZDX over the Lyriq? To sum up, the ZDX has more features for the money and delivers better handling than the Lyriq. Let’s take a closer look at what the ZDX has to offer compared to other similar electric vehicles.

Three Versions of the ZDX

The Acura ZDX starts at $65,850 for the base A-Spec trim. It makes 358 horsepower and is in a RWD layout. It’s rated for about 313 miles on a full charge, which is roughly the same as the Lyriq and Chevrolet Blazer EV. However, it’s stronger performance than anything from Hyundai, Kia, or Genesis. Other luxury models are a lot more expensive than the Acura.

The dual-motor A-Spec adds a front motor to deliver a total of 490 horsepower. The range for this one is right around 304 miles, slightly less than the Lyriq with a dual motor. However, the ZDX’s trump card comes in the form of the ZDX Type S.

The ZDX Type S makes up to 499 horsepower and an impressive 544 pound-feet of torque. The range dips sharply to about 278 miles, but that’s still better than many electric vehicles on the market, especially high-performance ones. For example, the Genesis GV60 Performance only gets 235 miles.

Driving the Acura ZDX

The interior of the ZDX, as mentioned above, is not very noteworthy, but the main reason to get the ZDX is performance. The A-Spec trim gets adaptive dampers and the Type S has a height-adjustable air suspension paired with Brembo brakes. The ZDX boasts an incredibly smooth ride in every trim.

If you’re after a ride that’s a little more sporty, you can set the ZDX to Sport mode for an automatically lowered suspension and firmer dampers. You can feel bumps more in this setting, but the ZDX hugs corners and injects nimble handling into your daily driver.

Ultimately, the Acura ZDX competes strongly against other electric vehicles on performance and range, but its uninspiring interior is somewhat of a distraction in an otherwise luxury package.

What’s Behind the Welcome Change?

Sales of the Ford Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, and E-Transit vans have all been on the rise. What’s driving the shift in consumer buying patterns?

Earlier this year, Ford announced plans to scale back the adoption of hybrid and EV tech due to a lack of customer demand. In May, the Ford Mustang Mach-E alone sold 18,737 models. Let’s look at what could be behind this welcome change in buyer behaviors.

The Situation in April

To fully appreciate the significance of this shift in buying patterns, you’ll need a better idea of where they stood in prior months. In April, Ford announced that its EV division lost $1.32 billion on vehicles wholesaled in the first quarter. That’s a significant loss, even for an automotive giant.

In the same month, Ford opened orders for the 2024 F-150 Lightning. It features a “Flash” trim that designers believe hits a sweet spot with consumers thanks to its extended-range battery, extra tech, and popular features.

The new model falls between the XLT and the Lariat. All three of these lower trim levels got price cuts earlier this year. The XLT now costs $2,000 less, the Flash is priced at $5,500 less than anticipated, and the Lariat saw a discount of $2,500.

May Brought a Huge Jump in Sales

In May, electric vehicle sales climbed 64.7%. The Ford Mustang Mach-E was the top-selling EV, accounting for 4,255 of the models sold. That’s up 46% from May 2023. Sales growth for the F-150 Lightning was even higher at 91% year-over-year. Ford sold 3,260 models.

Demand for the automaker’s E-Transit electric commercial van has been slightly lower, but it’s up 77% from last May when 1,450 vans were sold. Ford’s overall EV sales growth outpaced its hybrid and internal combustion engine growth numbers.

Why the Change?

The sudden jump in Ford Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, and EV-Transit sales has caught some people off guard. However, it makes sense when considered in the bigger picture.

Part of consumers’ motivation is almost certainly taking advantage of the lower prices and other incentives announced earlier this year. The Ford Mustang Mach-E also saw serious price cuts, with the automaker offering a new 0% APR offer after slashing prices by up to $8,100.

It’s not all about lower prices at the dealership. Ford has also begun a partnership with Tesla, allowing EV owners to use the competitor’s upgraded Superchargers via an adapter. The adapters are free.

Is Now the Time to Buy a Ford Mustang Mach-E?

Now may be the perfect time to invest in a Ford Mustang Mach-E or F-150 Lightning. These EVs are increasing in popularity, and prices may not remain as low forever if demand continues to surge.

Ford has yet to announce further changes to its earlier statement that it was shifting course to focus on hybridizing its existing lineup rather than producing new BEVs.

Drivers who take a wait-and-see approach may be left paying higher prices or settling for models they don’t love.

With GM’s promise to phase out gas-powered vehicles and offer an all-electric lineup within the next 15 years, we’ll continue to see more electric-powered GMC vehicles arriving at GMC dealers.

Right now, there are a few electric trucks and SUVs in the GMC fleet, but there are more coming, and it may be sooner than you think.

The Capable GMC Hummer EV Truck

The GMC Hummer EV truck was the first all-electric GMC to make an appearance at GMC dealers. It offers a unique blend of rugged capabilities and environmental consciousness. The impressive electric powertrain produces 1000 horsepower and sprints from zero to 60 mph in a mere 3.3 seconds. This electric truck can use brute force to make its way over almost any terrain, while the rear-wheel steering system makes it easy to maneuver whether you’re on the trail or in the city. It even features a unique crab driving mode that will move it sideways.

Go Big in the GMC Hummer EV SUV

The GMC Hummer EV SUV arrived on the tail of the Hummer EV truck. While it shares many of the truck’s features and offers similar performance, it’s also more family-friendly, with more space in the cabin for passengers. The all-electric powertrain churns out 830 horsepower and gets up to 11,500 pound-feet of torque. This version of the Hummer will zip from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. Drivers who are wondering about range for this large EV have nothing to worry about. It can go up to 300 miles on a full charge.

The GMC Sierra EV is Coming

Everyone loves the GMC Sierra pickup truck, and when the new Sierra EV arrives at GMC dealers in the near future, they will not only love its features and capabilities but also its efficiency and power. The official name for this new pickup is the GMC Sierra Denali Edition 1. And, with Denali part of its name, this truck is sure to deliver when it comes to upscale features and luxury.

Like the Hummer EVs and the Silverado EV, the Sierra will ride on the Ultium platform with a large battery pack that will help it get up to 400 miles of range. It will have all the latest technology, including GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving technology, and it will feature GMC’s innovative MultiPro Midgate. This gate serves as a divider between the cabin and the bed that can be lowered when you have long items to move but want to keep the tailgate up.

What’s on the Horizon

While the GMC EV lineup currently features the two GMC Hummer models and the upcoming Sierra Denali EV, there is much more on the horizon. Keep your eyes peeled for a GMC Yukon EV. This full-size luxury SUV will sit at the top of GMC’s SUV lineup, and since it will be built right in the U.S., it could be an affordable option for SUV buyers who want to make the switch to an electric vehicle.
